The Secretary-General launched the UN75 global conversation, and the UN75 team created materials to support it in partnership with the SDG Action Campaign.
But the conversation was run for and by a global community of youth, civil society, schools and universities, think tanks and academic organisations, businesses and private sector associations, cities and local government, policy-makers and shapers.
Partners across the UN system, including our Country Teams and Information Centers on the ground, played a crucial role in convening these stakeholders, and in ensuring we reached those without internet access as the COVID-19 pandemic made physical outreach challenging.
Our initiative was funded entirely by voluntary contributions from UN Member States and foundations. We received no funding from the UN’s regular budget and, in mid-2020, we revised down our budget in light of the pandemic.
